Carloforte, April 17, 2024 – The data logger sensors of the MedSeaPod project have been successfully tested in the“Dietro ai Forni” location. This important stage of the project confirms the excellent results performed in the CNR IAS laboratory in Oristano, and was achieved thanks to the collaboration between scientific institutions, local businesses and citizens who are passionate about science.
Specifically, the test was conducted with the help of two citizens at the location “Dietro ai Forni,” selected for its strategic location and unique accessibility characteristics of its ultra-coastal waters. Data logger sensors, advanced temperature sensing devices, were installed and closely monitored. Initial results indicate that the loggers are working perfectly, recording accurate and reliable data.
The MedSeaPod project, which is dedicated to monitoring thermal changes in the Mediterranean Sea, benefits greatly from the success of these tests, especially thanks to the contribution of citizens. The data collected will contribute to a better understanding of the effects of climate change on local marine ecosystems, supporting scientific research and environmental conservation.
